Australia Vacation - Part 1

Hi hi...I'm backkk...

I've had an exciting vacation to Sydney, Australia last week.Went there from 14 May 2010 to 22 May 2010...Lebih kurang one week la tambah tolak time wasted on flight. Went there for my brother's convocation at University of New South Wales but of course la 2 in 1, vacation sekali. Hehe. Sangat best and excited because I get to see the famous Sydney Opera House although tak masuk dalam pun, the surroundings there dah cukup cantik untuk I berpuas hati. The best part is, weather kat sana sejuk and I berjalan-jalan dengan happynye without even one drop of sweat. At Sydney..the main transportation for me was bus. Very convenient and very easy to reach popular places by bus. Aussie's bus system is very systematic, my brother bought me one ticket called "Mymulti'.The ticket was used for the entire week. It costs around $40+ I think. Not very sure of the cost. Pay only one time for the ticket, U can ride on the bus as many times U need around Sydney for the whole week- depends on the duration of ticket U paid for. Didn't have the photo of the ticket, I've lost it. Silly me. But I think the ticket can be used to ride on ferries too because I saw bus, ferry pics on the ticket. Okay enough babbling :-P, let's enjoy sikit dulu pictures captured around Sydney. 

Day 1

Arrived at Sydney, first thing Sydney gave me was bloody nose.Haha.Maybe terlampau sejuk sampai body I tak tahan.I am like that.Can't stand too cold or too hot weather.Orang lain maybe biasa je kot weather macam tu but for me, perubahan dari panas ke sejuk tiba-tiba can give me headache+hidung berdarah.Sigh.My flight malam 14/5/2010 at 10.20pm. Arrived at Sydney dah pagi-they are 2 hours ahead of us.Meaning that if Malaysia 8.00am, Aussie 10am. Couldn't remember exactly the arrival time because terpaksa cope the weather yang sejuk bagai nak gila for the first time. Dulu masa pegi London back in 1996 I tak ingat pulak rasa sejuk macam ni, masa tu nak winter jugak, maybe sebab pakai lagi berlapis-lapis. First day, I cuma relax kat bilik je, being pregnant makes me become tired more easily. Malam tu my brother and I went to eat dinner at Michael's. They provide halal food, boleh makan dengan tanpa rasa serba salahnya. My brother told me the owner is a chinese from Kelantan. I ate Nasi goreng with honey chicken. Sedap jugak...chicken is a lil bit sweet tapi nama pun honey chicken kan..betullah kena sweet. 

Sydney Airport...sile abaikan muka wanita tak tahan silau matahari itu.. :-P

Nasi goreng Thai adik saya order kat sini pon sedappp...biggg portion.

Day 2

I went to Eastgardens shopping centre.Ni macam shopping complex biasa je.Being a more sightseeing than shopping person,I just round-round jela dekat sini.Enjoying the cold weather at last sambil window shopping.Oh ya while waiting for the bus to Eastgardens (have to change bus) I snapped a pic of one halal Thai food restaurant. This is a picture of halal restaurant called Taste of Thai. My brother bought me take away food from here called Pad-thai.Sedap..macam kuew teow kot. Ada variety of food to choose from. Price pulak standard makanan dekat Australia la $7-10 onwards but the food comes in very big portion for us Asians.I memang kalau beli food kat Australia mesti makan 2-3 times.

Butter Prawn yang yummy

 Ni salah satu resipi yang memang mantap and menjadi kegemaran aku...huhu beshnye. Meleleh air liur bila teringatkan butter prawn nih. Esok nak buat kalau larat. Walaupun aku selalu buat telur goreng tak jadi halus dan rangup macam selalu kat kedai-kedai buat, rasa masakannya tetap tip top (wekkk puji masakan sendiri haha).

BUTTER PRAWN @Jeni
Bahan A
600 gm udang besar
1 camt. gula
1 camt. garam
1/2 camt. lada hitam
1 camt. minyak bijan

Bahan B
3 camB tepung jagung
1 camB serbuk kari ikan

Bahan C
3 biji kuning telur
1 camB susu cair
1/2 camt. garam
1/4 camt. serbuk lada hitam
2 camB butter 
2 camB nestum (masuk kemudian)

1 camB bawang putih - dicincang
2 camB cili padi - dicincang
1 camB daun kari - dicincang
2 camB butter


Bahan perisa
1 camB sos tiram
1/2 camB gula
1/4 camB serbuk lada hitam

Cara-cara
Bersihkan udang, buangkan kakinya dan keringkan dengan menggunakan kitchen towel.
Perap udang dengan bahan A selama 20 minit.
Campurkan bahan B dan masukkan udang yang telah diperap. Gaul rata.
Goreng terendam udang tadi sehingga masak dan tuskan minyaknya.
Gaul rata bahan C. Ketepikan.
Panaskan kuali, masukkan butter. Kemudian, masukkan bahan C. Kacau campuran C dengan cepat untuk mendapatkan telur goreng yang halus dan rangup. Angkat dari kuali.
Panaskan kuali dengan 2 camB butter. Goreng bawang putih, cili padi dan daun kari hingga wangi. Masukkan udang dan bahan perisa.  

Gaul rata sebelum dimasukkan telur goreng dengan nestum. Butter kena lebih sikit sebab nestum serap butter. (kinda weird but nestum when combined with butter taste very differently... rasa sekali memang bukan macam nestum. furthermore, telur goreng halus akan nampak banyak).
Gaul rata dan hidangkan semasa panas. 

TIPS:

Panaskan minyak dalam kuali hingga betul2 panas kemudian masukkan butter.

Biar butter cair dan tutup api.

Tuang telur ke dalam jaring / acuan roti jala dan goyang2kan mcm buat roti jala tu..

Sambil tu telur dikacau menggunakan chopstick laju-laju supaya tidak melekat.

Headache

Again...this headache thing is just plain jealous of my happy mood. I woke up this morning with the (second)  most painful headache I have ever experienced. The first time was like a year ago. That day I went to the pharmacy crying like a little child asking for painkillers. I stood in front of the counter with my head lying on the table and both hands on my head picit-picit, asking for the painkillers for headache. Suddenly one question popped out from the pharmacist's mouth, "For whom is this painkiller for?". I was like "Duhhh, you are staring right straight at me who is undeniable in terrible pain asking me that kind of question? Are you like want to get yourself killed?". Ok just be nice Wanie..."Erm..me". Okay despite the !*&#@^ question, the painkillers did cure my headache. I think the pharmacist gave me the most powerful painkillers she had in the store after getting the stare of the mak ghimau. Hahaha..Ok that was then. 

Today...again!! Why is this happening to me when Mr Daus aka hubby is far away from his dearest wifey. He has some works at KL today and his wife is at Melaka lying on bed crying and blogging (Haha). I'm telling the truth...I am crying while writing, it's like a natural therapy. The pain seems to ease off while I am writing this headache post. Hiasan Meja Kek

Salam... Just nak share sedikit idea tentang decoration meja potong kek.Masa time saya kahwin, saya tak terfikir nak hias meja kek sebab betul-betul busy. Lepas dah kahwin ni bila tengok-tengok balik gambar, alamak, kosongnye meja kek aku. Meja kek tak perlu hiasan yang heavy, cukup sekadar menaikkan seri kek, bukan nak menenggelamkan kek kahwin yang glemer itew ;-). 

Of coursela kalau nak menawan, kek mesti nak  bertingkat-tingkat nak pulak deco dengan fresh flowers, walla. Memang meletup la kek kahwin kite tapi saya tak buat banyak tingkat, 2 tingkat je sebab bagi saya, saya takmau nak bazir banyak-banyak dekat kek sebab belum tentu dapat hidang kat guests masa tengah busy-busy. Apa yang saya buat, saya buat setingkat cupcakes, dan setingkat lagi (top tier) cake. Simple saja tapi cupcakes memang laku. Budak-budak terus dihidang dengan cupcakes sebaik saja selesai acara potong kek. Sambil lari pun diorang duk mengunyah cupcakes saya. Suke-suke. Cupcakes memang sold out. Cake pulak memang dalam jangkaan saya, tak habis walaupun selepas berhari-hari. Dah hidang kat saudara mara pun still tak habis. Semua kenyang lauk kenduri agaknya. 

Really heart this wedding cake table setup, oh how i wish i could turn back time :-P. Cantikkkkkkkk sangattttt!!! Suke-suke. Silala ada yang buat camni kat Malaysia terchenta ni.

Outdoor photoshoot

Outdoor photo-shoot was held kat Putrajaya..masa tu jam dalam lebih kurang pukul 5. Photographer still daripada team yang sama-www.rolandhashim.com.Lupa nak tanya nama abang tu tapi saya namakan "Abang P" jelah.Abang P kata pukul-pukul 4 ke atas ni memang waktu terbaik nak ambik gambar outdoor sebab kata dia langit paling cantik,paling biru (dalam gambar) time-time nilah... Memang tak tahan terik mentari, rasa nak give up pun memang ada la, rasa nak balik duduk depan kipas max, buka aircond sejuk-sejuk pakai t-shirt sleeveless ngan mini skirt boleh tak. Peluh rasa lebih laju dari Niagara waterfalls. Tak tahan... tak tahan...pastu pulak ditambah dengan satu lagi couple ni, amik gambar also di Putrajaya dengan Abang P yang sama. Habis satu babak dengan kitorang, Abang P sambung pulak amik gambar couple tu.. Couple tu buat pre-wedding photo-shoot. Menunggu lah juga aksi-aksi mereka. Tapi takpe-takpe. Sabar Wanie sabar... sekali ni je nak Wanie ko nak pakai cantik-cantik macam ni. Pasnih comot balik. Oklah..tunggu jela.

Dah syok-syok ambik gambar, tup-tup dah habis. Abang P nak continue shoot dengan couple tadi tu dekat KLCC pulak. Eh-eh..sekejap nye. Dapat ke shot-shot yang menarik daripada model berdua (kami lah tu) yang kaku macam patung nih? Ok lah redha jelah. Nak buat macam mana. Terclash pulak dengan couple ni punya photo-shoot. Malas nak pikir banyak-banyaklah. Tengok jela result dia nanti macam mana.

Dapat-dapat gambar, eh-eh, elok pulak kitorang pose walaupun masa hari shooting tu rasa nak nangis sebab panas, taktau apa dah jadi dengan makeup, tak dapat concentrate sebab silau, macam-macamlah. Ada lagi gambar yang belum ambik dengan OP, ni saja serba sikit yang ada. Oklah enjoy the piccas.

Lihatlah betapa cantiknya langit biru ciptaan Ilahi...MasyaAllah...
